SongBook to SongBook connection
General
| Setting | Standard value | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Connection mode | Off | Defines which technology is used to connect multiple devices. You can choose between the "short-range connection", which uses Apple's "Multipeer Connectivity", and MIDI. The "short-range connection" can use the existing WLAN if the devices are on the same network. Otherwise, it can spontaneously create a temporary WLAN network between the devices, as long as they are close enough to each other when the connection is established. One device must set the connection mode to "Server connected via short-distance connection", and all others to "Client connected via short-distance connection". Alternatively, an existing MIDI connection between the devices can be used if you set the connection mode on all devices to "MIDI connection (via cable or wireless)". This can be a MIDI connection via cable, Wireless MIDI over WLAN, or Bluetooth LE MIDI. With this connection type, SongBook+ sends its own MIDI SysEx commands. Available values: - Off - Server connected via short-distance connection - Client connected via short-distance connection - MIDI connection (via cable or wireless) |
| Key field for synchronization | Midi track information | Defines which information is used to identify and switch songs. Available values: - Midi track information - Number in the 'Code' field |
| Bluetooth connection key | 1234 | Defines the shared password for paired devices. This is a password that must match on all devices to be connected. Otherwise, the server refuses the client's connection attempt. |
| Suppress connected/disconnected notes | Off | When a device connects to the group or disconnects from it, a corresponding hint is normally shown on all devices. If this is not desired, these hints can be suppressed with this setting. |
